In some cases, you may be asked for your government identification number or an image of your photo ID. Do not enter an alias, nickname, or company name as your first or last name, as entering your legal name incorrectly will cause a delay in the enrollment process. You’ll need to provide your legal name, phone number, and address. Verification of your legal identity is currently required in order to enroll in Apple’s Developer programs.
It’s also required for various other processes, such as Account Holder transfer. In an effort to improve security for developers and customers, verification of your identity and/or your organization’s identity is required when you enroll in the Apple Developer Program, Apple Developer Enterprise Program, or iOS Developer University Program.
